New urine test detects 92 percent of invasive prostate cancers
A new urine test can detect invasive prostate cancer without the need for an uncomfortable rectal exam and potentially allows for at-home sample collection, researchers at the University of Michigan Roegel Cancer Center report.
The test, called MPS2, detected more than 92 percent of invasive cancers in a study of 266 men while reducing unnecessary biopsies by 42 percent. The Journal of Urology
